Pulse privacy guide for your website

When you embed Pulse on your site, you are the one collecting visitor data, so your site's privacy policy should say so. This page gives you exactly what Pulse does, ready-to-paste disclosure language, and the answers your privacy-conscious visitors (or their lawyers) will ask for.

What Pulse collects on your site

• Page views with a salted, rotating hashed identifier — raw IP addresses are never stored.
• Coarse geography (country/region/city), device and browser class, language, referrer, and UTM parameters.
• No analytics cookies. The one exception: if a visitor clicks a tracked email you sent through the CRM, an opaque-token cookie (30 days) can associate their visit with their contact record — that's the identity bridge that powers your Live feed.
• Visitor opt-out signals are honored: Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browsers are not tracked at all.

Copy-paste disclosure for your privacy policy

Drop this into your site's privacy policy (edit to taste):

Analytics. We use Pulse Analytics (a service of Extant 2000 LLC) to
understand how our website is used. Pulse records page views with a
short-lived, hashed identifier — it does not store your IP address, does not
use analytics cookies, and does not track you across other websites. If you
arrive from a link in an email we sent you, a cookie may associate your visit
with your email subscription so we know our email was useful. Pulse honors
the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. Data is
processed in the United States and retained for a limited period. See

Do I need a cookie banner for Pulse?

Pulse itself sets no analytics cookies, so for US visitors a banner is generally not required for it. The email-click cookie is set only after someone clicks a link in your email — disclose it as shown above. If you serve EU visitors, get your own advice on ePrivacy consent; Hitt Hosting products are offered US-only.

Data processing terms

For Pulse and CRM data, we act as your processor under the standing Data Processing Addendum — it applies to every account automatically, and a countersigned copy is available on request.
